What is mass media?
A few years ago I was addicted to television and what was shown there. I manage to build certain beliefs about what a woman, a man, your happiness, etc. should be like.
But the media promotes these unrealistic things. About how a woman should be, how a beautiful woman should be (extremely thin, proportioned, with perfect features, confident and free of complexes) and how a man should be (tall, handsome, strong, confident, "6-pack").
How does the media influence you?
Naturally, it's no wonder it's hard to accept yourself as you are. The media deepens an insecurity in your soul.
This insecurity that we try to hide through beautiful, perfect, shiny clothes, to show that we are perfect, that we have no problems, insecurities, fears, etc.
Instead, we forget one thing. That beauty lies in everything you are. Both good and bad. Both joy and the scars you have. Both achievements and failures. We all have these things, especially internal scars, but also external ones. They make us shine, make us beautiful.
They give us the experience that we've been through a lot, but we've come to shine. They give us authenticity. Why try to hide them and be ashamed of them? Didn't they make you who you are today? Didn't they represent a part of you? Why repress that part of you?
I assure you, it is magnificent. You live life the way you want., without hiding and having the strength to assume those traces you have.
Stop hiding your physical flaws and always trying to seem perfect. Stop hiding that you have traumas, fears, that you are not perfect.
What should you do with the media?
I was saying on my Instagram page that I had an idea: from now on, at the end of every article, I'll offer exercises to help you start working on yourself.
Considering that the media is the one that promotes low-quality entertainment, becoming aggressive in search of an audience and capturing the attention of consumers by promoting negative images, personally, I chose to direct my attention to new passions, to do what ensures my well-being and helps me in the future to be a better, educated and successful person. What motivated me to do this? I noticed many things that I was repressing in myself and I wanted with all my heart to become a better person, a much better version of myself.
At the same time, I also advise you to give up this habit, which most often takes away time from when you could be evolving or relaxing by reading a book, walking in nature, or going out with friends.
For 2 and a half years since I gave up mass media, television, I feel much richer spiritually, emotionally. I got to know myself much better. If you are also interested, come to the course THE SUPERIOR ALPHA MAN INNER WORLD.
