How to achieve success?
Stop waiting for the right time. There is no right time. Unless, if you have a crystal ball and you read the future. That way you know that the right time will come when you have to make that decision and act.
But since I don't really think you have a crystal ball, until then this is just an excuse to take your time thinking about whether it's okay, if something is happening, if what, etc.
I used to do this too, I still do it, I have slip-ups, but I'm working on myself. A habit that I've had for 20 or so years, it's harder to change in a few days. Impossible, even. I say.
Why not set out to achieve success and not wait for the right moment?
Those opportunities that will come, will not wait for you to think or wait for the right moment. They come and go. Do you want that thing? Yes, then act and see what happens after. No, then say no.
But if you want that thing, why don't you act? Why are you waiting? Are you afraid of the unknown? That's what I'm saying. Because all people are afraid of the unknown, that they don't know what happens next. But this is exactly what stops us from evolving and thriving. And the fear of making mistakes along the way.
What to do for success?
One decision can change your entire future. One decision can take you to the next level. One decision can make you happy for a long time.
Stop loading your thoughts with so many images, scenarios. There's no point. And if you're going to make a mistake, guess what, you learn and you will have experience afterwards.
I was really a perfectionist to the max, my mother being a teacher, I was always punished if I made a mistake. As a child I interpreted this as not being good at making mistakes and always trying to do it perfectly. Sometimes this helps you, in a few cases, but other times it drains you of energy.
I still have this, but I'm working with it and starting to sell it.
Stop waiting for the right moment and start making that decision to do that thing. See what happens next.
As an exercise, start making the decision today and stop thinking so much, and if you make a mistake and that decision turns out to be unproductive, write it down in a journal. Why? That way you will analyze and improve in the future, so you know what to do better.
