How to overcome fear

How to overcome fear

Okay, let's talk about how to overcome fear.

Let me think….

Yes, there is no magic recipe or magic pill that I can give you and BOOM the inevitable happens, you get rid of fear, fear. You can't get rid of it, it's an emotion, a feeling that's inside you. But it depends a lot on you what you do with it. Either you look at it, "stand in front of" it, accept it and continue to act in the direction you want. Or you get scared and turn back because you're too afraid of what's going to happen, by the images your mind gives you.

If you choose the first option, congratulations, you are strong and you are super cool. You have a strong relationship with yourself, and this will lead to its diminishment, sometimes even to not feeling it at all. Why?

That you accepted it and demonstrated to your brain that nothing is wrong with you. And that experience will counterbalance in favor of courage, not in favor of fear.

If you choose the second one, know that that fear or dread will not go away, it will actually be amplified because you believe it. You will repress it so much that at some point it will come out when you least expect it.

Yes, I understand that you are afraid of not knowing what happens next, but how do you know if you don't do that thing? How are things really? Be anchored in the present, not in your head.

And I mention, I don't mean that you're afraid of jumping off a building or anything like that. No. Don't get me wrong. Not this. I mean things like being direct, honest, saying what bothers you, what you don't like, what you want, etc.

I too always chose option 2 in the past, by hiding from my fears and anxieties in my comfort zone. How did I overcome my fear? I said to myself: "How long should I keep doing this? I get the same result over and over, always. Nothing happens, the result doesn't change."

So, after many years, I have come to act in the direction of my desires, in the direction of what I want. Yes, the first few times you will be overwhelmed by a lot of feelings, you will sweat, tremble, your legs will ache, but after the 2nd, 3rd time you will hardly feel anything. It will be very easy for you.

Here I can also mention the following words:

  1. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
  2. What you fear, you cannot escape.

Yes, you probably expected me to offer you a miraculous recipe, but I'm not here to tell you lies, fantasize, I'm here to tell you the truth.

Start believing in yourself, that you can do it. If others can do it, you can too!
