What is depression?

What is depression?

Among men today, this emotion keeps creeping in, this feeling that gives you a state of sadness as if you no longer want to continue your life or are living it in vain.

That is why I decided, together with Mr. Fuioagă Matei, to address this topic, which is starting to be quite a challenge.

Depression symptoms and what we do to treat it

Depression: symptoms and what we do to treat it

What are the symptoms of depression? How do you know you have depression?

Depression is a fairly large mental health problem that is currently worsening people's condition. It has been shown to be a fairly large challenge that has persisted for 20 years.

I personally lived in this state for a while, especially when I wasn't doing what I liked or was passionate about. Of course, the causes can be countless, but I speak from my own experience and perspective.

To provide a definition that everyone can understand: Depression is a mental disorder that affects a person's mental state, automatically and their external state.

Some symptoms that indicate this are:

  • loss of interest in most activities
  • sleep disorder (insomnia)
  • loss of energy, decreased ability to concentrate
  • indecision
  • the presence of negative thoughts or thoughts about death.

If these symptoms are present continuously, then you can say that you are suffering from depression. If they only appear a few times a week, then it is normal and you are not suffering from depression.

As a human, it's normal to have moments of sadness and anger because you're not a robot.

What is severe depression?

What is severe depression?

What I talked about above is a fairly minor depression, but one that should be taken into account right from the start if you have those symptoms.

If you don't take this into account, you can also end up with a depression such as severe depression.

In this case, it can even lead to suicide, which is not a game according to me. I will present the symptoms below.

  • Depressive mood – the subjective feeling of sadness, "shipwrecked" or "blue heart" for a prolonged period of time.
  • Anhedonia – the inability to feel pleasure.
  • Social withdrawal.
  • Lack of motivation, low frustration tolerance.
  • Vegetative signs.
  • Loss of libido.
  • Weight loss and lack of appetite/Weight gain and increased appetite.
  • Low energy level, fatigue.
  • Menstrual disorders.
  • Morning awakenings, approximately 75% of depressed patients have sleep disorders – either insomnia or hypersomnia.
  • Diurnal (circadian) variation in mood (symptoms are more intense in the morning).
  • Constipation.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Headaches.

These symptoms were taken from the page HERE to give you clarity on what severe depression means.

Where does depression start?

Where does depression begin?

From a psychological point of view, what I understand, depression appears as a result of several frustrations that deepen in our soul. These can start from:

  • you don't say what's bothering you to your girlfriend, friends, or coworkers
  • you don't say NO to what you don't like and you just do things the way they are, so that no one gets upset
  • you don't communicate honestly and directly what you think
  • you hate your job, you don't like what you do
  • you indulge in lowly situations, comfort zone, same level

These are the cases that can trigger a depression to set in. To be even more specific, anything that gives you frustrations, nerves and is not communicated or you do not act on it, will start to set depression in your mental state.

Because you keep certain things, emotions, feelings inside you that you don't communicate or act on when you want to, those frustrations accumulate in your mind and the automatic mechanism will be depression.

How do we treat depression? What steps do we take towards healing from depression?

How we treat depression

I will offer a way from a psychological point of view and from my own experience.

Here it's up to you to act on what I say.

I want to mention that if you have admitted that you are severely depressed, I want you to contact a specialist immediately and have him or her provide you with medication that will reduce this until you can resolve it on a mental level.

If your depression has just started or you are at the beginning, it does not present a severe depression, I want you to start doing the following things:

  • Write down on a sheet of paper or phone 50-60 things that make you happy and joyful.
  • Write down everything that is stressing you out right now and a solution for each one.

With the first list, I want you to integrate 3-4 of them into your habits every day. It doesn't matter if it's walking, dancing, singing, etc. I want you to integrate them.

With the second list, I want you to apply the solutions for each one, for example:

I don't like my current job - I'm looking for another job and resigning from here. What would I like to do?

Do these things, and the depression will begin to release.

How long does depression last?

Maybe some people have the question:

But how long does it take to get out of depression?

Let's take them one by one as questions. There is no specific time frame to tell you when you will come out of depression. I can tell you that if you have been depressed for 5 years, don't expect to come out in a month.

Depending on the body, the personality, the person and what actions you take, the time varies.

How long does this depression last?

Depression lasts as long as you indulge in staying in that quagmire you created for yourself. Stay in it for 5 years, that depression will last for 5 years.

Wait 10 years, that's how long it will take. It depends on you until you decide to get out of there.

Conclusion

I can offer you a quick solution to this by joining the program I created specifically to address the mental side of a man. It's called THE SUPERIOR ALPHA MAN INNER WORLD and I'll explain to you from A to Z how to do it and what to apply.
