Gratitude

Gratitude – what is it, really?

Since childhood, I have grown up with or heard at least once the phrase "Be grateful for what you have!"

This was usually our parents' way of saying no (so it wouldn't hurt so much) when we wanted something and they couldn't afford it. You probably cried a little and then forgot you wanted X thing.

We accepted and continued to grow with this belief. It's a pretty strong statement that leads to a behavior with a little compassion. I say a little compassion because probably the first thing you did when you said that was compare it to someone who didn't have what you have and you had a little bit of pity.

As a result, following a comparison, we were grateful for what we had and we triggered it mechanically. It didn't come naturally.

I'm not giving you the answer to the question yet because before you can get to the final answer, you must first understand what dissatisfaction is.

What is dissatisfaction, and why doesn't it help us?

Let's get straight to the point and tell you that dissatisfaction is a state of mind. When you're unhappy with something that didn't turn out the way you wanted, you're irritated, nervous, you basically throw your trash everywhere.

If you keep throwing your trash at others, you will reach a very low energy point. Once you reach that point, you will lose all your values and will no longer do anything with your life.

Probably, at some point, you will accept to live with the problem and say:

"That's it, at least I have x, y, z, things. I'm grateful I have them!"

Returning to the main question, the feeling of gratitude is not limited to material things. The statement "I AM GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I HAVE!" is erroneous and should be reformulated.

Gratitude is similar to self-love, but in addition to it, it also has the added feeling of security.

Gratitude = self-love + security + self-confidence + happiness

The reformulation I mentioned above is as follows.

“I AM GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I AM!

"I AM GRATEFUL THAT I WAS ABLE TO GO THROUGH X EXPERIENCE"

Gratitude comes with self-confidence. The more gratitude you have for yourself, the easier it will be to gain self-confidence.

What I recommend is to search for a gratitude meditation on YouTube and implement it into your habits.

Now, dissatisfaction doesn't help us because it's a precursor to depression. Maybe that's an overstatement, let's rephrase it and say it's a precursor to self-sabotage, a downward spiral.

How can we achieve the state of gratitude?

The feeling of gratitude comes naturally when all your hard work starts to pay off. The most important thing is that gratitude doesn't just come from you, but also from the people you've helped.

On the other hand, we can create momentum. That is, we start from the law of attraction to our advantage and every evening we reserve 10-15 minutes in which we project that we already have that feeling. Thus, we will emanate into the universe an energy that will return to us tenfold (see "The Secret" – film)

How does practicing gratitude help me when I'm talking to a woman?

Here the thing is quite simple because, once you have gratitude, you will have a completely different energy and more confidence in yourself. In short, the wound of Not Good Enough will not manifest itself so strongly and you will no longer let insecurities take over you.

Besides, being grateful to yourself will make you look at the woman from a different perspective, from a different frame. An authentic frame and not one forced by games where you're always thinking about the next step to take her home.

You won't be stuck in your head anymore and you'll see how the game will come by itself.
